Coat: Burmese cats do not have white marks or tabby
characteristics. A solid hue with sable undertones ( dark
brown, blue, lilac) is accepted for this breed.

Origins and History: A female Tonkinese, named Wong Mau, was bred with a seal or chocolate
point American Siamese: this gave brown kittens, who were then bred with their mother. The
resulting breed was the brown Burmese cat.

Personality: Nicknamed the “dog-cat”, the Burmese loves playing with children. It is also
remarkably loyal to it’s owner.
