Coat: The norm is tipped fur, with a silver or gold undercoat. The tips can be sable, blue, chocolate, lilac, cream or tan.
Origins and History: The first Burmilla was bred by a cross between a male chinchilla Persian and a lilac Burmese female. The resulting kittens had black shaded, silver fur. Similar crosses
were made and the breed was officially recognized in 1944.
Personality: It is a calm and agreeable cat.
