Origin and History: Named after the Borders region of southern Scotland, where they were bred. This dog comes from the old Bedlington type with contributions from Lakeland Terrier and Dandie Dinmont Terrier.

Personality: Rustic, exceptional endurance, brave and strong. This dog has a strong personality but with a happy character. Very fond of his owners and loves children.

Known health problem: Brush from time to time. It does not require grooming.

Note:This dog adapts well to life in apartment buildings, so long as they are brought outside for regular walks.
