Origin and History: A descendant of arctic wolves, selected for their power and energy. These dogs were originally used to pull sleds in the Arctic.

Personality: Rustic, vigorous, lively, independent, affectionate, sociable. May be aggressive towards other dogs, or to protect food.

Health problem known: No health problem known to date.

Note: Resistant to very low temperatures. Needs firm training and has hypoallergenic hair.
