Origin and History: This breed was created in Rottweil in Germany in the 19th century. The Rottweiler was used as a watchdog and herdman.

Personality: It is a peaceful dog that has a strong temperament. They are devoted, very attached to his master and patient with the children. It can be aggressive against strangers.

Known health issues: Elbow and hip dysplasia, osteochondritis dissecans, eye infections, heart disease, cancer, gastric torsion, hypothyroidism.

Note: It is an effective watchdog.
