Origin and history: They are kings of the immense kingdom going from the Indus to the Mediterranean which would have favored the breeding of this race. It was introduced in Europe and later in Italy.

Personality: They are a good companion who is calm, sensitive and affectionate. It is rather reserved towards strangers and sometimes aggressive with small animals.

Known health issues: hip dysplasia, glaucoma, progressive retinal atrophy, hypothyroidism, heart disease

Note: It tends to hunt anything that looks like prey.
