Color Standards: Mahogany or fiery red-yellow, but paler shades on the cheeks, under the muzzle, on the chest, inside the legs, on the back of the thighs and under the tail.
Origin and History: For centuries, they lived in eastern Finland and Karelia, probably accompanying the first settlers.
Personality: Tough at work, caretaker and outstanding hunter. With a strong character, they enjoy intense exercise, especially in cold weather.
Known health problem: No particular health problems known to date.
