Drug description

AventiCLAV® is an antibiotic.

Indications

This product is used in small animals to treat a variety of bacterial infections. 

Contraindications

This product should not be used, unless otherwise advised by a veterinarian, in animals that are sensitive to penicillin.

Side effects

As with most antibiotics, AventiCLAV® may cause a decreased appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, or reduced activity levels.

During prolonged use at very high doses, it is possible, although very unusual, that the drug becomes toxic to the neurological system.

Storage

At room temperature. 

Excess heat or cold should be avoided. 

This medicine must be protected from excessive moisture. 

It is important to leave the tablets in their original container.

Recommended monitoring

Make sure that the animal's condition improves and that it does not suffer from any side effects.

Warning

The tablets should be administered with a meal and with probiotics to try to avoid gastrointestinal disturbances such as vomiting, diarrhea and loss of appetite.

Do not take out the tablets from their package more than 48 hours before giving them to the pet.

Keep out of the reach of children and animals.

In order to prevent the development of antimicrobial resistance, it is important to complete the prescription, even if the symptoms have disappeared.

In the presence of severe, worsening or persistent side effects, contact a veterinarian as soon as possible.
