Imaverol® (enilconazole)

Description:

This is a topical antifungal (applied directly on the skin). 

Indications 

Imaverol® is used in domestic animals to treat skin infections caused by ringworm.

Contraindications :

There are none.

Side effects :

Excessive drooling, vomiting, loss of appetite with weight loss and muscle weakness have been reported.

Recommended monitoring:

Make sure that the animal's condition improves and that it does not suffer from any side effects. 

In addition, it will be necessary to ensure that the fungus has been completely eliminated by performing DNA analyzes.

Interactions with other medications :

None. 

Storage :

At room temperature and protected from light. Excess heat or cold should be avoided.

Instructions for use:

1 ml of the concentrated solution of Imaverol must be diluted with 50 ml of warm water. What remains of the diluted solution that is not used should be discarded after 24 hours. 

The solution is applied using a vaporizer.

It is important to spray the entire animal to reach areas that do not appear to be affected but may contain fungal spores.

Subsequently, we rub the animal against the hair to ensure that the product reaches the skin.

Longhaired animals should be shaved to allow good penetration.

A hard brush soaked in the diluted product can be used to remove crusts.

Imaverol ® does not irritate the skin or eyes. It is still advisable for pregnant women to wear gloves when handling this product. 

Warning:

Keep out of the reach of children and animals.

In the presence of severe, worsening or persistent side effects, contact a veterinarian as soon as possible.
