Medication description
It is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory with analgesic and antipyretic properties, meaning that it also treats symptoms of fever.
Indications
To control pain and inflammation in small animals.
Contraindications
Do not use, unless directed by your veterinarian, if your pet suffers from a stomach ulcer, hepatic or kidney disease, or if they have bleeding originating from the digestive system.
Side effects
It is possible, but often rare, that your pet develops vomiting or diarrhea. This medication can also cause toxicity to the liver or digetive system. If you notice a change in your pet's appetite, water consumption, or in his digestive system, or he develops severe adverse effects that worsen or persist, contact your veterinarian immediately.
It is important to monitor if your pet's health improves and if he develops any side effects.
Interactions with other medications: Do not use tolfedine, unless directed by your veterinarian, if your pet is receiving a non-steroidal antiinflammatory, aspirin, a corticosteroid, digoxine, fluconazole, furosemide, a medication that is toxic to the kidneys, methotrexate, or warfarin.
Storage
Store at room temperature.
