Water fountain - CatIt Deluxe 3L with dome

Water is essential to an animals diet, like humans, to survive. It is of utmost importance that you encourage them to drink, for their health and well-being, since water represents about 70% of a cat or dog`s body. 

The Catit® Deluxe drinking fountain is an automated fountain that filters the water from its reservoir, keeping it fresh. It is composed of a dome to increase water oxygentation. Furthermore, there is a flat part that forms a filtered water dish to allow cats that don't like to drink from the fountain access to fresh water. As a bonus, a food dish is included with the fountain.

Advantage:
The fact that the cat is encouraged to drink water contributes to the proper functioning of its kidneys and may reduce cristal formation incidences and diseases of the urinary system.

Action:
The Catit® fountain responds to your pet's needs by supplying it with a fresh and clean source of water. The water that recirculates with a large exposition to oxygen, provides fresh and filtered water, but also has a great taste and offers a multitude of advantages for your pet's health.

Maintenance:
- Wash the fountain and pump with a sponge and soapy water.
- Rinse thoroughly with fresh water.
- Rinse the filter with clear water only to remove the charcoal dust ( perform during filter changes and weekly cleaning)
- Never use any cleaning products or abrasive products (can be toxic for your pet and damage the fountain's finish).

Note:
The filter must be changed every 3 weeks or at least once a month or when it, been saturated by a foreign substance.
Complete cleaning of the fountain is done once a week.

Directions for use:
- Remove the fountain parts from the packaging.
- Screw in the fountain's handle by gently turning (do not apply any excessive pressure since this could damage handle's threading).
- Lift the dome by the handle.
- Remove the filter from its bag and put aside.
- Completely wash the fountain as per the maintenance instructions.
- Lift the dome by its handle and turn upside down. Open the valve by pressing the stem downwards and turning left or right at a 90º angle until the stem remains in place.
- Place the valve directly under the faucet and fill to the maximum capacity.
- Close the valve by releasing the pressure and by turning the valve at a 90º angle until the spring is loosened and the valve returns to its original position.
- Turn dome upright and place into base with the use of the bubbles within the dome as a guide. Align the largest bubble on the raised green part of the base. Once the dome is in place, the water will begin to stream into base.
- Secure the rope to the sector-adapter and plug into the wall ( make sure that the water runs properly into the base on the dome).
- Ensure that the electrical cord's plastic protector is placed where the cord exits the fountain to prevent it from being in contact with the dome.
