Dr. Laure Cosimano DMV, president of MONVET Veterinary Group Inc.

Dr. Cosimano is the founder of MONVET Veterinary Group Inc.

She started her career as a veterinarian by creating an ambulatory veterinary service for companion animals right after she completed her doctorate in veterinary medicine at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Montreal in 1995.

In 1998, her brother, Dr. Michel Cosimano DMV partnered with her and, with the help of their father and her significant other, made the business grow. In time, the ambulatory service ceased to exist and, after Clinique vétérinaire de l'Est's brief existence, Hôpital Vétérinaire de l'Est came to life in 1998.

In 2005, brother and sister acquired parts in Clinique Vétérinaire À Mon Chat and then became its' sole owners in 2006.

After they partnered with Dr. Catherine Lavoie DMV in 2012, Hôpital Vétérinaire du Richelieu Inc. was created and after becoming partners with Dr. Émilie Piché-Rondeau DMV in 2014, they transformed Clinique Vétérinaire À Mon Chat into À Mon Chat, À Mon Chien, Hôpital Vétérinaire Inc. Finally, in 2017, the three establishments advertised their association by becoming members of MONVET Veterinary Group Inc.

That same year, in september, Drs. Cosimano partnered once again this time with majority shareholder Dr. Lili Bergeron, DMV, IPSAV, and with minority shareholders Drs. Piché-Rondeau and Catherine Lavoie. Together, they bought the Clinique Vétérinaire Bertomeu Inc. The clinic's name was thereafter changed to Clinique Vétérinaire Au Pied du Mont Inc., making it the fourth veterinary establishment to be part of MONVET Veterinary Group Inc.

When she's not busy managing the company, Dr. Cosimano performs companion animal surgeries at Hôpital Vétérinaire de l'Est Inc.

At home, she has several animals including an Italian Greyhound breed dog named Houdini, a Great Dane breed dog named Leila, a siamese cat named Rose, two abyssinian cats named Amen and Bulle, a Canadian Quarter Horse, a poney named Cannelle and many chickens.
