Ivomec® is an injectable antiparasitic used to prevent heartworm infections in dogs and cats, as well as to control hookworms in cats. It is also employed in treating skin parasites, such as Demodex and sarcoptic mange. This medication is not recommended for puppies and kittens under 6 weeks of age. Side effects may occasionally include a drop in body temperature and vomiting. Collie-type dogs require close monitoring after administration. Consult a veterinarian before use, as ivermectin may interact with other medications. Store the vial in its box, away from light.
