Form
Lenivia is an injectable veterinary medication used in dogs to help relieve pain associated with osteoarthritis. Its active ingredient, izenivetmab, is a monoclonal antibody that targets NGF, or nerve growth factor, a protein involved in pain transmission and joint inflammation. Lenivia is administered by subcutaneous injection by the veterinary team, usually once every three months.
This treatment may be recommended for dogs showing signs consistent with osteoarthritis, such as stiffness, difficulty getting up, lameness, decreased activity, hesitation to climb stairs, or behaviour changes related to pain. A veterinary examination is necessary to confirm that the pain is associated with osteoarthritis and to determine whether Lenivia is an appropriate option.

Store in the refrigerator between 2 and 8 °C.
Do not freeze.
Protect from light.
After puncturing the vial, the contents must be used immediately.
The vial is for single use only: discard any remaining quantity.
Veterinary follow-up is recommended after starting treatment with Lenivia to assess improvement in mobility, the animal’s comfort, and the possible presence of side effects. A re-evaluation is generally performed before each injection, approximately every 3 months.
No specific known interactions have been reported to date. Inform your veterinarian if your dog is taking anti-inflammatory medications, pain relievers, antibiotics, antiparasitics, or supplements. Mention any current or previous treatment with a monoclonal antibody. Vaccines may be administered, but ideally at a different injection site if given during the same visit.
Dogs under 12 months of age. Dogs with a known hypersensitivity to izenivetmab or to any of the excipients. Dogs that have previously had an allergic reaction to Lenivia, such as anaphylaxis, itching, or facial swelling. Dogs intended for breeding. Pregnant females. Lactating females.
Lenivia is generally well tolerated, but some dogs may experience adverse effects after the injection, such as balance problems, weakness, decreased appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, or increased thirst and urination. Any unusual change should be reported to the veterinary team.
Lenivia must be used under veterinary supervision. Inform the medical team of any medication, supplement, recent vaccination, or history of allergic reaction. Follow-up is recommended to assess the response to treatment and monitor for any possible side effects.
