Sentinel® is a medication for dogs containing lufenuron and milbemycin. Lufenuron prevents the development of [flea](https://monvet.com/en/fleas-in-pets/) eggs, disrupting their life cycle, while milbemycin acts as a dewormer against heartworm and several intestinal worms. It is not suitable for puppies under 4 weeks old weighing less than 2 pounds. Side effects include vomiting, lethargy, itching, and seizures. An annual heartworm test and stool analysis are recommended. Available in tablets, chewable tablets, and injectable solution, it should be stored at room temperature. It prevents flea reproduction but does not kill adult fleas.
