Otomax® is an ear treatment designed for dogs suffering from bacterial or fungal external otitis. It contains gentamicin, an antibiotic; betamethasone, an anti-inflammatory; and clotrimazole, an antifungal. This medication is not suitable for animals allergic to aminoglycosides or those with a perforated eardrum. Among its side effects, a temporary decrease in auditory acuity may occur. Veterinary follow-up is essential to ensure the otitis is cured and no adverse reactions persist. Store Otomax® at room temperature and shake well before application. Consult a veterinarian promptly if the animal shows signs of discomfort or balance issues.
