Revolution® (selamectin) is a topical antiparasitic from the avermectin family. It treats fleas, heartworms, ear mites, and certain roundworms. In dogs, it also works against ticks and sarcoptic mange. In cats, it targets certain hookworms. Animals under six weeks old or dogs related to Collies should not receive it without veterinary approval. Side effects include hair loss, diarrhea, vomiting, and tremors. Monitor your pet after application. Report any severe reactions to your veterinarian for appropriate follow-up.

Revolution® (selamectin) can interact with several medications, including amiodarone, carvedilol, clarithromycin, cyclosporine, diltiazem, erythromycin, itraconazole, ketoconazole, quinidine, spironolactone, tamoxifen, and verapamil.
- Animals under six weeks old - Sick, thin, or severely weakened animals - Dogs related to the Collie family
- Temporary hair loss at the application site - Diarrhea and vomiting - Muscle tremors - Itching and redness at the application site - Decreased appetite and reduced activity - Excessive salivation and rapid breathing - Seizures or lack of coordination (rare)
– Apply each dose at one-month intervals on dry, unbroken skin.
– Ensure application is on the neck, out of reach for licking.
– Follow the dosage based on the animal’s weight to prevent overdose.
– Avoid washing, bathing, or petting the treated area for at least 2 hours.
– Wash your hands after application to prevent skin or eye irritation.
– In case of contact with skin or eyes, rinse thoroughly.
– If ingested, contact a doctor immediately.
