Help Your Cat with Stress Using Feliway
Feliway for stressed cats is a proven solution designed to reduce anxiety and promote emotional well-being. Stress in cats can lead to behavioral issues such as urine marking, excessive scratching, overgrooming, aggression, or social withdrawal.
Effects of Stress on Your Cat’s Health
Chronic stress can harm your cat’s health, potentially causing:
- Feline idiopathic cystitis
- Hair loss or overgrooming
- Loss of appetite (anorexia)
- Obesity due to stress-eating
- Decreased energy and social interaction
Cats are experts at hiding stress, making early signs easy to miss.
How Cats Naturally Manage Stress
Cats use visual, olfactory, and pheromonal cues to claim territory and self-soothe. They may:
- Spray urine or scratch vertical surfaces
- Rub their face to release facial pheromones
- Seek familiar scents to feel secure
What Is Feliway?
Feliway is a synthetic copy of the feline facial pheromone used by cats to mark safe, familiar spaces. It helps prevent both behavioral and stress-related medical issues.

Usage Tips
Vertical Scratching
Spray Feliway daily near the scratched area for at least one month. Add a scratching post nearby to redirect the behavior.
Urine Marking
Spray the affected areas to send calming signals and reduce the urge to mark.
For Maximum Effectiveness
Use both the spray and the diffuser together to maximize calming benefits.
