Form
Deramaxx® is a medication from the coxib class, which acts as an anti-inflammatory and analgesic. It is indicated for relieving pain and inflammation associated with injuries, surgeries, or other conditions. This product is also used to treat transitional cell carcinoma. However, it should be avoided in dogs with liver or kidney issues, or those presenting specific conditions such as hypoproteinemia or gastric ulcers. Rarely, digestive, urinary, or neurological side effects may occur. Immediately consult a veterinarian if any symptoms arise following the administration of this medication

It is important to monitor whether your pet’s condition improves and if any side effects occur. Regular veterinary check-ups are necessary for a thorough examination, including hematology and biochemistry, to assess liver and kidney function.
Do not use deracoxib without a veterinarian's advice if your pet is taking a kidney-toxic agent such as diuretics, amphotericin B, aminoglycosides, another non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, aspirin, a corticosteroid, digoxin, fluconazole, furosemide, an angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor, or methotrexate.
Contraindicated for animals with: Liver or kidney problems. Do not administer this medication if the animal is already receiving another treatment for pain or inflammation.
This medication is generally well tolerated. However, side effects may occur, including: Digestive system: vomiting, loss of appetite, diarrhea, blood in stool or vomit, ulcers, or perforation. Urinary system: increased thirst and urination, blood in urine, incontinence, or kidney problems. Other effects: liver toxicity, anemia, respiratory issues, fever, skin rashes, or weakness. In case of severe or persistent symptoms, contact your veterinarian immediately.
