Form
Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug used to reduce pain and inflammation in the eye. Before use, it’s essential to seek veterinary advice, especially if the animal shows sensitivity to its components. Combining it with other anti-inflammatory drugs is not recommended. Side effects include temporary burning sensations during application and, with chronic use, corneal damage. For safe application, follow instructions carefully, disinfect the applicator tip, and monitor the animal’s progress. Store at room temperature, away from children and animals. Consult a veterinarian for more information.

Monitoring the eye’s condition: Check that inflammation is decreasing and there is no corneal damage.
Observing side effects: Watch for any persistent burning sensations or rare systemic symptoms.
Regular veterinary consultations: Ensure the treatment is effective and adjust it as needed.
Following application instructions: Clean the eye before each application and disinfect the applicator tip after use.
Other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs): Increased risk of systemic side effects. Corticosteroids: May amplify adverse effects on the cornea. Anticoagulants: Potentially increased risk of hemorrhage.
Allergy to diclofenac or NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs). Bleeding disorders: Increased risk of hemorrhage. Diabetes: May interfere with blood sugar management. Rheumatoid arthritis: Use with caution. Glaucoma: Potentially harmful effect on intraocular pressure. Dry eye syndrome: Risk of worsening symptoms. Late pregnancy: May harm the fetus.
Temporary burning sensation upon application, which should not persist. Superficial focal corneal inflammation with prolonged use. Direct corneal damage, potentially delaying the healing of lesions. Rare systemic effects: gastric ulcers, reduced platelet aggregation, asthma, or kidney damage.
Side effects may be amplified when used alongside other anti-inflammatory drugs, whether steroidal or non-steroidal.
