NexGard® is a chewable antiparasitic treatment for dogs, used to prevent and treat flea and tick infestations with monthly administration.
Form
NexGard® is a beef-flavored chewable antiparasitic treatment containing afoxolaner as the active ingredient. It is used to treat and prevent flea and tick infestations in dogs. Its oral administration makes it easy to use, ensuring effective protection. However, this product may cause vomiting and diarrhea. It should not be given to puppies under 8 weeks old, nor to breeding, pregnant, or lactating animals. For optimal storage, keep it between 15°C and 30°C.

Administer the treatment every 30 days for continuous protection against fleas and ticks.
Monitor side effects such as gastrointestinal or neurological disorders and consult a veterinarian in case of an unusual reaction.
Respect the dosage appropriate for the dog’s weight, as NexGard® is available in different concentrations.
Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Macrocyclic lactones
NexGard® is contraindicated for puppies under 8 weeks old and dogs weighing less than 2 kg. It should not be administered to pregnant or lactating females unless advised by a veterinarian.
The most common side effects of NexGard® in dogs include gastrointestinal issues such as vomiting, diarrhea, and loss of appetite. In rare cases, neurological disorders such as tremors, ataxia, or seizures have been reported. Excessive drowsiness or lethargy may also occur.
