Isathal® is an ophthalmic gel with fusidic acid, treating bacterial eye infections in pets caused by Staphylococcus, under veterinary supervision.
Form
Isathal® is an antibiotic ophthalmic gel containing fusidic acid, effective against eye infections caused by the bacterium Staphylococcus in pets. This medication is contraindicated for patients allergic to its components, unless otherwise advised by a veterinarian. Clean the eye with an appropriate solution before application and avoid contact of the container’s tip with the eye. After applying, close the eyelids and gently massage them. Prevent the animal from scratching or licking the treated area. Store at room temperature. Consult your veterinarian to ensure safe and effective use.

Side effects observation: Pay attention to any signs of irritation or abnormal reactions following application.
Proper application: Follow the veterinarian’s instructions to ensure the treatment’s effectiveness.
Avoid directly mixing Isathal® with other ophthalmic medications.
Do not use in animals allergic to fusidic acid or other components of the formulation. Do not apply directly into the eyes in cases of severe ocular lesions, unless otherwise advised by a veterinarian. Avoid use in pregnant females unless recommended by a veterinarian.
Irritation or redness at the application site. Allergic reactions in animals sensitive to the product's components. A feeling of discomfort or temporary unease after application.
Wash your hands after handling the product.
Clean the eye with a non-irritating solution specifically indicated for this purpose before applying the medication.
Avoid touching the eye with the tip of the container.
After application, close the eyelids and gently massage them for a few seconds to ensure the product spreads across the entire eye surface.
Prevent the animal from cleaning the area near the eyes after application; an Elizabethan collar may be used if necessary.
Disinfect the container tip with rubbing alcohol after each application.
Discard any ophthalmic preparation 1 month after opening.
If using different textures of ophthalmic medications, apply solutions first, then ointments. Wait 5 minutes between products to allow each to be absorbed and act properly.
