This product is used in companion animals to treat bacterial and inflammatory conjunctivitis (infection and/or inflammation of the conjunctiva).
Form
3-Biotic + H® is an ophthalmic medication designed for veterinary use. It combines three antibiotics (Neomycin Sulfate, Polymyxin B, and Zinc Bacitracin) with a glucocorticosteroid, Hydrocortisone Acetate. This formulation is effective in treating bacterial eye infections while reducing inflammation and irritation. The antibiotics work synergistically to combat a wide range of bacterial pathogens, while hydrocortisone decreases swelling, redness, and discomfort, promoting faster healing. Administered under veterinary supervision, this medication requires careful monitoring, as prolonged use may lead to side effects or resistance. Always consult a veterinarian before use.

Store between 15°C and 25°C.
Keep the tube tightly closed.
Protect from light and avoid freezing.
It is recommended to consult the veterinarian in charge of the animal again if:
– The issue is not resolved by the end of the treatment
– The appearance of the eye worsens during treatment
– The animal seems uncomfortable when the ointment is applied
– There is no improvement 2 or 3 days after starting the treatment
3-Biotic-H® can interfere with the effectiveness of certain other medications if used simultaneously. You can consult your veterinarian to determine which medications might be affected. Additionally, inform the veterinarian if your pet is already taking any medications before starting treatment with 3-Biotic-H®. This will ensure that the medications are compatible.
This medication should not be used if the animal has a corneal ulcer.
Some animals may experience itching or a burning sensation when the ointment is applied. Inflammation may also occur.
Keep out of reach of children.
Neomycin can sometimes cause allergic reactions in domestic animals, especially when used for extended periods. If this occurs, stop the treatment and consult a veterinarian.
Additionally, prolonged use of antibiotics may lead to bacterial and fungal (yeast) resistance, making the treatment ineffective.
**Usage Guidelines:**
– Wash hands after handling the product.
– Clean the eye with a non-irritating solution specifically indicated for this purpose before applying the medication.
– Avoid touching the eye with the tip of the container and disinfect the tip with rubbing alcohol after each application.
– Close the animal’s eyelids and gently massage them for a few seconds to distribute the product across the surface of the eye.
– Prevent the animal from cleaning the area around the eyes after application; if necessary, use an Elizabethan collar (“lampshade”).
– Discard any ophthalmic preparation one month after opening the container.
– Apply solutions before ointments when multiple ophthalmic medications of different textures are used simultaneously.
– Wait 5 minutes between ocular products to allow each to be absorbed.
