Activated charcoal is a medication used to treat poisoning in dogs and cats. It works by adsorbing toxins present in the gastrointestinal tract, preventing their absorption into the body. This medication is often administered after ingestion of toxic substances to limit harmful effects. Activated charcoal should not be used in cases of intestinal blockage or if the animal has difficulty vomiting. It is typically administered in tablet form or as an oral suspension, depending on the severity of the poisoning. Always consult a veterinarian before using this product.

Store in a dry place at room temperature.
Keep out of reach of children and animals.
Monitor the animal for signs of adverse reactions, such as persistent vomiting or constipation.
Ensure that the poisoning has been effectively treated by following the veterinarian’s recommendations.
May interfere with the absorption of other orally administered medications, reducing their effectiveness. It is recommended to allow a 2 to 4-hour interval between administering activated charcoal and other medications.
Intestinal blockage or gastrointestinal tract obstruction. Ingestion of acids or corrosive bases (charcoal does not neutralize these substances).
Vomiting or diarrhea. Discoloration of stools (black, which is normal with charcoal). Constipation or dry stools if administered excessively.
Do not administer without a veterinarian’s advice, especially in cases of severe poisoning.
May cause obstructions if the animal has a history of digestive issues.
