Omeprazole reduces gastric acidity and prevents ulcers in domestic animals.
Form
Omeprazole reduces gastric acidity and prevents ulcers in domestic animals. It inhibits acid production in the stomach, relieving digestive issues. This treatment is well tolerated but may cause loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. Consult a veterinarian before administration, especially if the animal is undergoing another treatment, as drug interactions may occur. Omeprazole comes in tablet form and should be stored at room temperature.
